HELP. LR or recomended mechanic near Port Augusta?

My in-laws have a problem with their D2a Td5 near Port Augusta. He thinks it's the auto cooler lines. Metal pipe under engine blown where it joins rubber hose. Oil everywhere. Loss of power.

They only just left Melb on Sunday on their big 8 week long service leave trip with new camper in tow.

Getting towed back to Port Augusta. Anyone know a LR place or recommended mechanic in the area or nearby? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Mother in-law apparently "not happy" and wanting to drive out of Port Augusta in a Toyota.

If it is only the oil cooler lines, then really, any mechanic should be able to help them out.

PM Toombie, and see if he knows of anyone. He lives at Whyalla, which is "just down the road".

His website is trt.net.au, and you will find contact details there.

Just another thought, Enzed will be able to make new lines for it, while you wait.

The other thought is that the trans oil will have to be renewed / refilled.

    Good luck.

The trans cooler lines lose their connection often where the rubber is swaged to the pipe.

There are a few Hydraulic companies in Pt Augusta who could fix the hose.

Otherwise it would require a complete replacement hose / pipe.

    Otherwise, Pirtek has a mobile service: 0467 571 000

Dont let them go the way of Toyota - The fuel bill and Oil Bill isnt worth the headache

We're getting a new Toyo here for work - the last one died at 143,000 km.
