I was actually a passenger in it, really unusual because if I or my wife are in it then we drive, why on this time I didnt I dont know, just one of those things.

the engine didn't run on its side, I am sure that we were coming to a rest and I was already calling "Ignition Off!, Ignition Off! and from the passenger seat I turned it off.

As for a roll cage, yes, I think we are over reacting a bit but we always review what happened and could be done to remove or reduce the risk / improve the result whether it be cycling, on the motobike or camping or other taskings.

Any photos of the wreck? The d2's from what i have seen at the wreckers seem to hold up pretty well in a roll over so i would think that for the amount of cost involved, not to mention detrimental to the ergonomics and aesthetics of the interior its simply not worth it. Sad to hear about the accident and glad to hear everyones ok. Thats a testiment to the strength of the factory disco

I thought that would be the case as well but I can am sure the engine was running after we had been on the passenger side, roof and then drivers side.

I did think that the inertia switch only worked in fwd / aft plane how ever - anyway, I shut it down pretty bloody quickly

The reason why I brought it up is it is not unheard of for similar roll over style switches that are commonly fitted on many motorcycles now to fail when bikes are crashed.
