Thread: log in and timed out

just wondering if others are experiencing similar hassles.

I'm finding if I am not active for 5 minutes or so I get logged off, bit of a hassle if I want to make a coffee or tend to the kids.

But then I find often it's hard to log in again. Regularly says it's busy which I can understand being such a great site. But it's becoming a real pain, almost prompting me to read other forums.
I thought by supporting the site and subscribing eliminates this busy problem.

Am I the only one.

Incisor, you thoughts would be good to get a better understanding. Would a small donation by all users make it work better? Does the advertising cover running costs? I'm guessing the site for you is more love than profits.

and after ten years they still haven't stopped coming.


From what I know,, (and its increasingly less these days,,)
its taken over nine years for the site to reach a stage of paying for itself.

and only because of the adds you see and the subs you pay.

So we upgrade the hardware and the site runs fine for so long but the Field Of Dreams thing catches up and better hardware is required. (and for the first nine years Inc paid for most of this out of his own pocket)

The next hardware upgrade (Oct) is on schedule.
If you want to contribute to that,,

Take out a Subscription,
Donate something new worth raffling,
or just Donate to the upkeep of this site.
