That's a very good point for us Landy owners to factor into the decision on what hoist to buy! Hands up those that would love a hoist to put their Landy on but it doesn't actually go at the moment so you'd have to push it:p.

Hey guys I'm currently getting plans through council for a garage, unfortunately it's got a patio above it so 4m for lift height is out of the question. So I was wondering if you could set one up outside in the weather. My brothers father-inlaw has a hoist but I would really love my own
Bee utey good thinking might be able to attach to side of garage that would give me the height and just do a lean-to type roof.
That is amusing, I did drive two of the three in to the back paddock though, they have just through a big part of mine the facility to "run"
And for the one who asked about keeping the hoist out side, be careful of the rams rusting, nothing tears through a seal quicker than a killer whale, sorry a rusty ram :wasntme:
Unless of course you live in sunny Queensland like me :D

2 post or 4 post. The answer is simple. One of each.
Being a retired mechanic I have worked in places that have had both 2 and 4 post. Both have pros and cons but if I could only have one it would be a 2 poster, which is what I have in my shed.
