Ins-your-ants SWB S2A
Hey ladies and Gents.
Ms Jeebuz has a 1971 S2A 88"
that is registered as of thursday. Now being a huge scot (aka: tightass) she is wondering what peoples opinions of insurance companies relating to ahem the older set of classic cars that dont have massive resale value.
She is with GIO with her 2000 disco, and is seriously contemplating Shannons for "Bertie" the 71 88".
I am unsure as Alianz is my preferred insurer for work and personal insurance. (have had great experience with minor to major incidents)
But as its her ultra precious uber baby of a classic convertible.
I was after serious opinions and experiences (ph she is a rating 1 as she drives errrrr, land roverishly responsible
Thanks a bunch and In starting this thread I am not after a flame war or silliness, but more after what experience you have had with insurance companies with a claim on an older vehicle.

I am with Shannons for my IIA (and others). Used to be with suncorp.
No problems with either but I have never made a claim.
Shannons give salvage rights which is probably the most important issue on a series, as anything more than a scratch will cause a II/IIA/3 to be written off economically.
