I have had similar problems with Paddocks and now use DLS Independent Land Rover Centre. I have found there service to be excellent, often get a reply in a few hours if sent at night, including invoices, and goods mostly sent the next day.
Paul is the guy I speak with, couldn't recommend him highly enough. You can buy through Ebay or email Paul with your order and he will supply an invoice through PayPal. It is much quicker if you email directly rather then Ebay.
I too have used DLS and was vey happy with the service and delivery cost (12 pounds to deliver 3.3kg by courier) and very fast too, ordered and paid Thursday, carded in my letterbox Monday but I wasn't home so had to collect from depot Tuesday. Faster than domestic ordering. Plus he doesn't muck you around with the VAT, just deducts it from the price.Quote:

Thats good for frieght from the U.K, a few more should look into who they use, i got a crossdrilled input gear, and a LT230 transfer case rebuild kit, probably weighs about the same as your package, in a box about 250x250x75, it cost 75 pounds:eek:. Think i'll try DLSQuote:

DLS is the way to go they use royal mail takes a few weeks but the prices are top i got 2 new belts for the front of the county delivered for less than the price of one local and the 6 in extended brake line kit cost me $68 AU to my door :cool:
I bought off paddocks a few items in 1 order and am not overly impressed.
A few bolts where missing from a wheel carrier and other bits that should have gone with it dont fit.:o
The steering box is good.
As has been said about the postage how the hell do you run a LARGE mainly postal sales company and not know the weight/dimensions of every item and what it will cost to post?
Why did I get charged for it then have to ring back twice over a week+ to find out the freight fee?
Was just looking at body side mouldings from them. Next nearest price I got from someone who could ship was 140 quid, DLS are 170 and Paddocks 111!! Maybe the freight is where they make up the cheap prices....

i put in a paypal dispute and the same day i was contacted by paddocks with a freight quote. not sure if coincidence or not..

i have had nothing but great service from paddocks, i have made 3 large orders so far, and for all i was contacted within 4 days for the freight price, then the parts arrived a week later each time
in my last order i ordered a workshop manual, and recieved one for a p38 range rover instead of a 200tdi discovery
they asked me to send them a photo of the book and then apologised and sent me the correct book in the post for nothing, i just need to get a quote from aus post to send the other book back and they will cover postage
