I rang my phone company and the lovely lady said (in a rather thick Indian accent). Hello my name is Janet, do you mind if I call you Paul?

I felt like saying, no I would prefer you call me Sanjeev, Paul is just my telephone name.

Apparently there are other little tricks out there that we're 'not supposed to know'........... For example, if you get in a lift in a tall building, press and hold the 'door close' button while also pressing and holding the button of the floor you want to go to. Apparently this will take you express to your floor without stopping at other levels. I believe it's to allow emergency services to access buildings quicker.
    Can anyone confirm this one.

Emergency services have a Key that overides everthing, have a look at a lift and see the fire key hole

Well, I gave it at try and pressed the #-key several times recently when encountering that stupid voice menu. The recorded message said "Invalid Choice" and put me back to the start . No gain at all... Is there any other combination of keys that can be tried? I detest these recorded messages and menue choices.
    Cheers

There are people who spend all weekend cleaning the car.
And there are people who drive Discovery.

One combination suggested on our club forum was 000000. I tried it and it seemed to work.
Maybe different combinations work better with particular services.
