Thread: Windscreen without tint strip at the top

I have had two Windscreens fitted and both still leak when the car is sitting I'm the drive. Not my real issue, my issue is the tint across the top of my D1.
I'm 183cm or 6ft and look out the Windscreen straight throughout the tint which is dangerous especially at night. The vision is only twenty mtrs in front of the car with out looking through the tint.
I find it dangerous as we live near Horsham and drive a lot at night.
Does any one know where to get a tint free windscreen?
Am I the only one to have this issue?
The new windscreen has a bigger tint area than the last one, is there any regulations on the tint strip?

The first modification I made to my RRC when I bought it was getting the windscreen replaced with a non tint version. I am about 194cm tall and I am tall in the torso. I also took the spacers out from under the drivers seat.

I have had two replacement windscreens fitted since then, each time I instructed the windscreen place that non tint versions were the only acceptable ones.

You might have to give your windscreen supplier time to find one, from memory my last one came from Sydney (to Adelaide).
