Newcastle Morning Herald.
Hi all, those forumites who read the NMH may have seen the photo of a car accident near Vacy in the Hunter Valley in Today's edition. Gracing the background is my 130 Defender as I responded to the fire brigade callout directly, as the accident was not far from home. The driver probably nodded off as there were no signs of braking or swerving before he hit the fence and then the tree. He walked to the stretcher, so the reported severe leg injuries were not apparent at the time.He was airlifted to hospital, so he may well have been more injured than it appeared.Cheers, 130man.

Any links to the story in the NMH? Living in Tatura we do not get the NMH.
Dave.

Regular reader of "The Herald" and I must admit to reading the article, but not taking that much notice of the background vehicle in the piccy. On second looks, Ah Yes, it IS a LandRover!!
Bullbar sort of hides it a bit!!!

Hi Ausfree. The box body on the back also changes the outline.Apparently I did a classic double take when I saw the photo. I said, "Oh look, a Defender" and then said " What? that's my truck" much to everyone's amusement.Cheers,130man.
