    Toolbox in a 3D Printer

No need to carry your heavy tool box on trips anymore - just carry your special 3D Printer and create whatever tool you need, whenever you need it.

Maybe also your spare gearbox or other spare parts you may need on your remote trip

    Check it all out here:

This was discussed a week or so back. Isuzutoo-eh uses one to make model trains parts and gave a link to pix of what he makes.

It may be a solution in the future - but at present the limit on materials and the time taken to make a high resolution model would make it impractical for most parts.

didnt someone on the forum use one last year to make nylon window mechanisms for their D1 or something? there was a step by step photoguide showing the operation and subsequent repair.

its not a solution in the future , its available here right now......it takes little time and high resolution production is happening and it is practical.....

I've seen one print an engine from ceramic which then ran once plugs fitted!

Laser resin printers are pretty cool too!
