System speed has slowed down significantly in the last hour or so,and often unable to scroll the page down far enough to reach 'forum jump', even when 'done' appears at bottom left corner of page. Must click 'back' occasionally to escape from some threads.

i am certainly am not seeing anything like that here on my home link and system load is still minimal.
me thinks something else is at work...
Everything I have done on the site for the last few days has been going like a rocket, at least, as fast as my internet connection allows. Then again, maybe that's because I'm a subscriber and they get better service....:p
As I mentioned on an earlier post this type of slowdown occurrs when i've exceeded my monthly 3gig allowance. But all the other websites I frequent and their forums are still operating at normal speed.Quote:

Edit ..4.40pm just took only 5 seconds to get on with other pc online too. so my theory was wrong. But anyway all is good now.
Normal service seems to have been restored. Opening the site or searching for New Posts takes about 3 or 4 seconds on my 11 year old P4 1.7GHz.
I'm pretty sure at least 2 second of that is just my graphics card struggling to display the page.
Good to see that we have only a 20 second delay between searches (for the time being?).
