:)
Someone put in a million dollar bid.
I reported it to ebay and the ad was removed yesterday, it's done, Vic NSW and WA,
maybe it will reappear and say it's in Tassie
I wonder if the person who does own the car has heard about it being for sale:eek: He could be in for a shock if someone spots it and pulls him over to ask questions how many v8 hse,s around nsw anyway?
He may have it for sale legitimatly some where else and some nigerian oil worker/marine biologist is trying to divert the money:o
There's no doubting how dumb some of the scammers are ....
Genuine owner of this D3 HSE V8 has put it back up on Ebay to sell, BIN $35,000, vehicle in Sydney. It's been up for 2-3 days .... Land Rover Discovery 3 2005 HSE | eBay
Then this morning it's listed again (by scammer), it's now in Townsville, listing as before, different email contact and BIN is now $18,000 ... ** Land Rover Discovery 3 2005 HSE ** | eBay
... I have contaced the seller :)
You'd think that after the last 3 attempts they'd get the message ??
Seller just contacted me to say thanks for the heads up and he's contacted Ebay to get the listing pulled.
... how long before it pops up again ? :p
I wonder whether this could be done by some kind of "bot". I noted all the description was one image:confused:
seems the scammer has moved on to 2007 Range Sport, 3 bids already up to $26 no reserve. Same wording as original add for D3,. don't bid unless you contact him etc etc, and same $109 postage, in Brissy this time

The original D3 scammer 'Mike Walson' is still around, just emailed me with a new story:
"The car with all documents is already at the shipping company in Broome, WA sealed and ready for shipping. I had a buyer from Sydney but his loan was not approved and now the car is still for sale. Delivery is already paid because my buyer couldn't get the loan after I made the arrangements to deliver the car to his address, and the delivery company won't refund me, but I am able to deliver the car at your address.
I have a contract with eBay so this deal must go through them. I chose to sell my car over the internet because in this moment i'm in Broome and I can't meet in person with anyone. The car will be delivered from Broome on my expense. I will pay the shipping fees. Email me your name and address where to send the car and ebay will give you all details about the payment and shipping."
I think it is time to get more details so that I can make an offer for this fantastic opportunity, or maybe I should just supply all of my bank account details and passwords. I think he has gotten a bit sloppy with his locations, placing the vehicle and himself in the same town, but can't meet with anyone.
