Silky fingers
Hi all
I'd like to pass on a tip whispered to me from my grandmother's deathbed in 1937 on condition that it remains a secret, and I know you won't say anything. It appears that from time to time she injudiciously dipped her fingers in wet cement, engine oil and paint thinners and the like - as you might when converting a 300 Tdi into a mooring for example. As a result she suffered from chapped fingers and thumbs as might many tradesmen nowadays, especially during winter. I myself had this problem until recently with hands like velcro mitts. A guaranteed cure for this condition is the application of 120 grit emery cloth to the affected sections until all old skin is removed and the nightly application of vitamin E cream. I'm now often to be seen stroking my face and saying "ooooh". My next post may be how to change into leotards while propping up the bar.
