Well in conclusion to this thread, Sally did some investigating months ago, and came across Ergoflex, so for $1099, plus $60 delivery from Sydney, we got a memory foam king size bed, equally as good as the tempur we were looking at, at about 1 quarter the price.
So after sleeping on it for the last 6 months, all i can say is that its amazing, i sleep straight through the night (unless really really stressed about work), when i go camping or staying in motels, i actually look forward to getting home. very impressed

We were looking at memory foam beds recently.
The only thing that put me off was the weight limit. Was going to be borderline in my case. 

Ended up getting a new Titanium Posturepedic ensemble set when John Martins had a 40% off sale. Made it almost affordable.
