Here are a few more.
The 60's 3.8 Jag has been sitting there a long time. It is complete and rust free on the outside. It is not for sale. Another car going to waste, sitting and deteriorating.
Here are a few photos of cars I saw on the streets of LA (and elsewhere)during my recent holiday.
I will add to these as more are downloaded and resized.
The '40 Buick coupe is in the front yard of a set of repair shops. I asked if it was for sale and was told that is why the owner left it there, to display for sale. He said he would contact the owner about price etc. Next day I was told the owner decided to keep it. Pity, it is a rare model and body style, complete, and in relatively good order. An easy restoration.

Yet more.
The owner of the 1994 Buick two door told me he had to wait almost five months for it to be built. He says only about 400-500 of this model were made. He said it is a V8 front wheel drive.
The white car is a brand new top line Buick. So new it has not yet got its plates. These and Cadillacs have magnificent interiors.

And some more.
Displayed in Hardin, Montana. A wrecked Highway Patrol car that appears came to a sudden stop.

Displayed for sale in the parking area of an office building in Rapid City, South Dakota.
A clean, totally original, two owner one family, 1950 Chev. four door sedanette. No need to restore, just keep it as is. Too good and original to restore. US$8,000.

Not exactly on the streets, but at Bob Bendtsen's shop, Bendtsen's Transmission Adapters, at Ham Lake in Minneapolis. Bob likes big V12's. The rat rod has a Seagrave V12 from a fire appliance. Originally the Pierce-Arrow engine but taken on by Seagrave after P-A's demise. Seagrave added twin ignition.
The '55 Chevy has a big Italian 4 cam V12 aluminium marine engine. Lot of work in this car. Note the suicide doors and the external door lock in the original position. Bob is proud of the fact that this was all done with standard Chev. hardware.
There are a GMC V12 702 cubic inch, a Chrysler Hemi with turbo and electronic injection, a Lincoln and a Ford flathead V8.

More Bendtsen photos.
The rat rod has Lincoln self-energising brakes on Ford spindles, in Buick 12" drums with aluminium fins. These were popular with rodders until the ready availability of disc brakes.
