Sorry to upset the freelander owners but you only have to google them to see that they have more that their share of faults.
I love my Landies and Rangies but Freelanders.....love the look and interior but you gotta be carefull when buying an early one.
Just take it to a specialist if you (she?) has her heart set on it, they will best be able to advise you of the condition etc.
She could get a Defender 90!!! Small, ecconomical and COOL!!!
