    Aldi Night Vision

    Hi All,
    The mrs got me one of the Aldi night visions today with infrared you can see clear as into the darkest spots i could see everything in the shed it was pitch black and the stars are full on can see million more. But now i dont know how often i will use. will be fun when camping, i would recon mend it actually works three year warranty

    purveyor of goods for the common good.... we have a few here that are food only!.


    its like "A responsible government", here in SA, we are told they exist and we hear good things from other states but there arent any in SA!

    Thanks. I was wondering if they worked. Did a bit of research on the web. Apparently they are Russian internals (aka Yukon brand) generation one night vision i.e. old technology. However, gen 2 stuff starts at $1250 plus postage from USA. Gen 3 starts around $5000 and gen 4 is secret military only and you will be shot as a spy if you get one. The Yukon equivalent seems to start at $365 for local internet supply and $250 (+ postage) the cheapest I found on www, so $199 looks like a very good price.

    Get similair results for 1/10th of the price. Just doesn't look as sexy though
