YES PLEASE :P
I have accumulated quite a number of photographs of old, rare, unusual engines.
Would the LR brotherhood like me to start a "What engine is that?" thread?
Here are a couple of tasters.

No: 1 = Something out of a plane (and appears to be fuel injected?)
No: 2 = Something not out of a plane!
Am I the first winner?

Yes please, but I doubt I will be able to guess many...
#1 looks like a RR Merlin V12, or related engine.
First one looks like a Rolls Royce Merlin V12.
Second one, I have no idea.
Is the 2nd one a Maserati Tipo?
I don't remember what either one of those is. One is an aircraft engine and the other is a US made motor racing engine, possibly a Sparks-Thorne "Little Six".
From now on I will only post in this thread engines I can identify.

The first one isn't a Merlin, the Yanks only made the type 61 as far as I'm aware and that isn't a 61,it had a four bladed Rotol prop not a three blader. Pat
