    Car Buying

Well a friend has asked me for some assistance since she's buying her first car and I apparently have a vast knowledge of this area (having owned two myself).

So I'm asking you all for suggestions.
    Requirements:
    Small and fuel efficient
    4 door
    good condition
reliable for at least 5 more years
    auto

    All on a 5k budget

So I'm thinking a Corolla (we won't mention the marque) would be perfect although having never owned or driven one I'm after some more advice suggestions.

Any other makes that fit the criteria?

    Thanks in advance

I've got my 89' Jaguar for sale. It has four doors, small and fuel efficient. It hasn't broken down on me for the time I have owned it so It is reliable. Give me an offer

Anything with a Toyot badge would have to be a good bet given some care by previous owners. The Hyundai Excel might well be a contender too. From memory I think the Hyundai Sonata had oil consumption problems as it got older so perhaps discount this one.

Nissan Pulsar - mid to late 90's for 5K - I have a 93 model - bought it 12 months ago for my Daughter to learn to drive in - came with 12 months reg, RWC for $2K - bargain - it just keeps on going despite its 310KKM on the clock - for $5K you can get a fair vehicle.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
