    You think your digital camera is good ????

    These days, even compact digital cameras are commonly 14 megapixels which is pretty impressive, but check this out...............The picture at the following link is 69,394 X 30,420 pixels or 2,110 megapixels. Don't worry, your PC wont blow up if you look at it
    Zoom right in on any face in the crowd (it might take a few seconds to clarify)
    This is the sort of technology the government have at their disposal, so if you think you can 'hide' in a crowd, think again !!!! ( Gotta keep the conspiracy theorists paranoia levels up )

    Seriously though.........pretty impressive.

    Here is the story.......

    Port Moody photographer Ronnie Miranda used a gigapan imager to take a photo of the crowd on Georgia Street in downtown Vancouver prior to the Stanley Cup riot June 15.


    The camera took more than 200 images, which Miranda spliced together using specialized computer software.


    The result is a wide shot that allows the viewer online to zoom in and make out individual faces that appeared in the crowd.
