I think you will find that the closest Land Rover mechanic will be KLR in Kingswood.Land Rover mechanics are few and far between in Sydney, especially in the west.

The mechanic on the bend of Bathurst Road in Katoomba does a fair few Land Rovers. I've never been there.

Railway Garage in Govett St. Leura are pretty impressive, I've taken the VW there. Also heard good reports about Advanced Auto Care also on Govett Street.

There's one mechanic on the North side that I'd avoid, no naming names on the forum.

I use KLR Automotive for work I can't do myself. Note that KLR has been sold back to the original owners who are also LR nuts.

Where in the Mountains are you located?

Hi, I take my 1999 TD5 defender 110 to Brad at Valley Auto Care.
Next to Bunnings in Valley Heights.
He's not advertised as a specialists for LR (he specialises in 4x4 generally) but he's owned LRs himself in the past and he knew all the problems I had right away.
Fixed the distinctive Shunt in my drive chain with new Flanges and Axel Drives.
leaking rocker head gasket, wheel rotors & pads as well as oil changes and leaking coolant system.
Ive only heard good things about him from others and he's a good fella who talks you though what he's gonna do.
Hope that helps someone in the Blue Mountains. Lots of places I when to wont touch LRs.
    Craig
