    Rhino roof bags

    Opinions anyone?

    Rhino Large Luggage Bag (LBL)

Every man and his dog seems to sell them online which make's me wonder if the majority are a Chinese knock off.

    Cheers.

We've had a Rhino branded one for years - it's has been OK, zips have proved to be durable, it's water & dustproof and not so badly priced if you wait until repco/supercheap et al have it on special

Don't know about cheaper knock-offs - they all (incl Rhino) could come from China for all I know

IMHE you could not expect to get $300 worth for $100 or less

I've got one. It's been on the rack in driving rain doing 100km/hr or so and no problems. I'd comfortably put bedding and clothes up there with no concerns they'd get wet. The are very well sealed.

I've got a small one I purchased from someone on Ebay who'd used it for a single Vic' High Country trip (so as good as a new one at 1/2 the price). We carry the sleeping bags, pillows & air mattresses in it, plus other odds & sods. It's well made, very sturdy, and so far (3x trips) keeps everything dry.

It has a generous velcro down flap that covers the zip to aid in waterproofing the bag. Sometimes the velco & zip process requires a bit of man handling due to the stiffness of it all ... it's not flimsy light-weight.

I'd say they are a no brainer. You get what you pay for. Yes, if lost or damaged I would buy another one without hesitation.

Dolium lists a couple of sizes on their website (see WC Transit Bag 1000mm - Dolium Pty Ltd). Would be able to purchase from Opposite Lock.

We've got one and have been very happy with it. Watertight and mostly dusttight. A light amount of dust occasionally if we're travelling through bulldust but not enough to be a concern. We carry all our bedding on the roof in it and have never had a problem.
