    Moving to Sydney

Well I am moving to the big smoke in the new year, I hope Sydney can cope with an other 130.

I will be working at Holsworthy, any ideas/suggestions of where I should live.

I was thinking nth east of Holsworthy, could drive 30min but hope to be in an area that means less traffic for the drive to work. My brother drives from Bondi and said he has little traffic in the morning as most traffic is coming into the city and he his driving out, it takes him about 40 to an hour to get to Holsworthy.

If you can avoid it dont go towards the Liverpool side, like Glenfield, Macquarie Fields or Minto.

Try East Hills, Padstow, Moorebank, Georges Hall, Panania or Wattle Grove.

Or a bit further East, Peakhurst, Oatley or Mortdale.

Around Bankstown and Hurstville its more multicultural.

ha Phil, I thought about Padstow as it was close to work and then I could annoy you on weekends ha ha.

I am sick of mowing lawns so I was thinking a unit or town house, but would need a storage shed is there much in the way of storage around you.

there are heaps, kennards and the like, also this neck of the woods is full of townhouses!!!! but also, being NSW the block sizes down here arnt that big and they like to stick the houses in the middle (the old ones anyway) so you have a average size front and back yard with usually no access to the back....

    cheers phil

You have my sympathy.....Townsville is a nice big warm tropical city with virtually no traffic ,has everything you could want, yet far enough away from the rat race to still be almost a town. I go there often enough to make that comment. If you love the big urban sprawl and noise that never stops then you may enjoy your change......you will have to lock everything up now and bolt down anything that can be taken.
