    Question Tyres

Have just bought 2008 Rangey sport anyone any idea how big I can go in tyres to get some decent off road traction it's running standard 19's with relatively low profiles on it at moment. She's not to bad in sand but don't have much room if I have to let tyres down.

    tyre size

Check in side your drivers side door trim. A plate there will show you what rims and tire sizes fit your rangie. hopefully you can get down to 17". if not and you can put 18s on then their are a few more reasonble options than on your current size.

Assuming you have the TDV6 and not the TDV8 or Supercharged versions, you can go back to a 17inch rim with a range of more aggressive options.

Cooper STMaxx are one of the best new tyres on the market for this.

245/70/17 in STMaxx and STT's and will fit without mods but you'll need to start cutting some plastic if you want to fit 265/70's on it as you are then pushing 32.5inches.

You can run a 285/60/18 Cooper Zeon LTZ with only minor mods to the inside bib of the lower section of the front bumper but they are pushing the boundaries as well.

You will probably find you need to turn the DSC off whenever you are driving it with larger tyres as the change in geometry and handling as a result of the larger rubber make the computer think you are out of shape and starts breaking on every corner.
