    Where to get a RWC in North West Melbourne

    Hi, can anyone recommend a good mechanic in North West Melbourne that can do a RWC? I know there are heaps out there, but I would prefer to take it to someone who is known and trusted to a member of this forum. I'm not after a dodgy RWC (if they even exist anymore). The vehicle is my Rangie, and I need to transfer it out of the Father in Laws name, and also to get club rego in it.

    There will be a few things to do on it, which is not an issue, but because I never go to a mechanic to get work done, I don't want to end up either getting ripped off, or have some muppet go over it that has no interest in 4WD, or even worse - get someone that has it in for Landies (they are out there).

    Last time I had a roady done was on my old Dunny Door, and they gave me a list as long as my arm, and told me it would cost $1,400 for them to do everything - I did everything on the list for $280, in just 2 days - they were just angling for the work, which is not what I want. I only want them to do the checks, I will do any work required.

    Any thoughts, names & phone numbers would be greatly appreciated.

    Give Romsey Land Rover a call, ask for Ray or Daniel. Great service and really good prices. I recently had my auto serviced and the oil in both diffs and the trans case changed at a price that was a quarter the one quoted by the Dealers in Melbourne.

    While I was waiting I met a bloke having work done on his late model Rangie, he was from St Kilda and has used Ray for years, prefering that to taking his vehicle to his mate who owns a well known dealership in Melbourne where he bought it from.

    Think you will find a few others on here who have had sucessfull outcome dealing with them.

    I had some work done at Rays just recently.
    I found them to be pretty good.
