Thread: No negative feedback for eBay?

I agree. Quite a while ago now, may have even been last year, they removed the sellers ability to leave negative feedback.

You can still leave negative feedback as a buyer, just not as a seller.

Some kind of stupid reason, like sellers should be resolving all problems, so negative feedback from a seller is not needed.

i think it was because alot of sellers where using negative feedback on a buyer as retaliation for the buyer leaving neg. feedback.

This has been in some time and is ridiculous - I have had to leave positive feedback for a buyer but indicated in the text that the person was a non payer.

The ebay feedback score system is no longer relevant and a waste of time.

The changes were brought in to get around the issue where sellers would only leave feedback after the buyer left feedback and if the buyer left negative feedback the seller would do the same even though from the sellers perspective the sale went well - it was just malicious. The response from Ebay to fix this was to stop sellers leaving negative feedback - clearly not working but ebay do not care - indeed they do not care what their customers think at all.

I often sell packets of comics - ebay only allows a max of $5.20 for postage but actual costs are normally $12 so I have to leave postage blank and indicate "refer to listing". I have been onto ebay on this for 12 months - they do not care.

I buy and sell quite a bit on ebay and have had a few problems along the way. Ebay removed the ability to leave negative feedback for sellers for reasons unknown to me. My opinion is the biggest problem with ebay is not enough competition so they they do what they like. I would suggest you contact their customer service and have your whinge there. It may not achieve much but at least you can vent your frustration and they are forced to respond to you.
