Run up Teewah Beach to Rainbow
Beaut day so I thought we'd head across to Tewaintin for the ferry and a run up to Rainbow Beach. Forgot about the school hols so the camp sites were all pretty packed. Saw a couple of D4 Discos on the beach and a load of older Discoveries, but not a single Defender all day. Sorry that's a lie, We saw a new 90 on the way back in Tewaintin, a 130 Tdi in Noosa and that's about it. Nobody was out on the beaches in their Defenders!!
However a quick beach report was that it's pretty soft sand for a lot of the route espec once the tide turned for the run back down the beach this arvo. I've never seen quite so many bogged vehicles in a single day.
Highlight of the day was seeing whales off the shoreline. On Rainbow Beach there was a mum & calf then off Teewah Beach there were a couple of sprightly ones breeching right out of the water. Excellent day out.
