Do I have a winch bar?
Hi guys,
Just saw the local Aldi had some winches in stock. I'm thinking about getting one, but I just want to be 100% sure I actually have a winch bar on the fender. It came with the car when I bought it second hand, so I'm not sure exactly what type it is.
Here's a front view:

and here it is from the top:

You can see on the top what appears to be a template - is this marking out where a winch would be mounted?
I'm hoping someone else out there has the same bar and can confirm if it's winch compatible or not.
Cheers

I have the same looking bar with winch. What is behind your number plate? If it has the winch hole then I wouls guess yes. Shure others will be on soon who can confirm. If it isn't then you would just ned a cradle behind the bar to mount the winch.

Excellent, thanks guys.
So you reckon one of these aldi winches should fit - I can't really picture how?

Yes it will.
In the pic they have all the bits attached direct to the winch.
Fairlead would be where you number plate is now. Bolts go through bull bar to secure winch. Control box sits on top of bull bar.
From what I remember the greas is the big thing with these winches so worth opening the thing and putting good grease in before fitting.

Control box can be removed and repositioned, otherwise all will fit OK. The configuration is the same as all other low mount winches, we just fitted a Warn XP9000 to the same bar last week. Control box was mounted on top of the bar channel with bracket, otherwise exactly the same as the ALDI one.
