The NSW Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) invites driving enthusiasts to delight in High Country views in a free 4WD adventure in Kosciuszko National Park on Saturday, October 1.

Tumut NPWS Visitor Services Manager Mark Lees said NPWS Rangers will lead a tour between many lookouts in the northern part of KNP to celebrate the International Year of Forests.

“Drivers and passengers will see spectacular views and learn about the unique landscapes and native bushlands of Kosciuszko National Park.

“The day is free for those bringing a vehicle or $5 if you would like to come as a passenger in one of our vehicles but book soon as all places are limited.

“We will meet at Jounama Creek campsite near Talbingo and depart at 9am.

“Drivers must be capable of off road four-wheel driving and vehicles must be registered and in sound condition.

“Passengers will be required to sign an indemnity form.

”Join our rangers on a tour of the new Black Perry and Wallace Creek lookouts as well as a special visit to Big Talbingo Mountain.

“We may make some changes to the schedule depending on weather conditions, but it is sure to be a great day,” Mr Lees said.

For information or to book, phone the Tumut Region Visitors’ Centre on 6947 7025.
