I hope this isn't anyone from AULRO?

Emergency services were called to the F3 shortly after 9am this morning following reports a truck had jack-knifed and come into contact with another vehicle.

When they arrived police discovered the driver of a 4WD traveling north had actually swerved off the freeway, crossed a wire barrier, a 5m-wide grassy median and slammed into the truck traveling in the opposite direction.

Firefighters, Paramedics and Volunteers from the VRA worked for some time to free the man who was trapped in his vehicle. He was extricated and transferred to an awaiting helicopter at about 10.30am.

He was taken to Royal North Shore hospital with head and facial injuries in a stable condition.

    steering?

    Hi All

The poor bloke! I hope the long term outcome isn't too bad for him.

I don't like seeing those type of photo's, but I wonder if his steering went to cause this prang?

To see catastrophic damage like that, and to hear the driver is in a stable condition, albeit with serious injuries, says something for the vehicle, thank goodness there were no passengers. Bob

I also hope the D1 driver is ok.
But do not forget the truck driver we get overlooked
unless it happens to be caused by the truck driver,
(which is far less than the media would have us believe).
He was just wandering along to Sydney (bad enough in its self)
then this has stuffed his day.........
