Its the same mob (probably a few minor rule changes though) that have a game called the blodyslow crap.
I went to a fooball game for a friend's birthday, the best bit of it was queueing up for drinks because you faced away from the grass.

Down here in 'The State of Enlightenment' we actually have a game that the citizens go to watch. Such is its appeal that it's even played and followed Australia wide.
If I'm given a choice of watching a Grand Final between two of the strongest and most talented Australian Football League teams or a playoff between NSW's most despised Rugby League team and an offshore 'B' team the choice isn't a hard one.
As to the Brownlow Medal count I wholly agree, it has to be the most mind numbing and boring event since the Dally M. Why anyone would put themselves through the agony of watching this is beyond me. But it is a free **** up for the football elite so I guess that's why they attend.
Best wishes to SWMBO for a full recovery.

That sounds a fair bit like the Eurovision Song Contest voting.

At least with the Brownlow, you probably only got the voting figures in one language.

I watch the Brownlow and I enjoy it. What I don't like is the fuss made over the Wags. This is a fairest and best count for footballers but you would reckon it was a best and fairest for the best dressed female.

Ron, being from NSW I can understand you not enjoying it but I am sure it rates very well to be televised yearly, so lots of people do watch it.

Nothing beats cable/fox TV, insurance or credit card adds, all they want to do is bury you, and or take your money, very depresive. Then there's the ah bra, or the wonder bra ads when the blond drops one out, I got pay TV to stop this crap but by the end of the day Real insurance have me pushing the mute button many times a day.
