SWMBO has an implant in her arm that lasts 3 years, and is on her second one. By the time the latest one wears out, she too will be past child bearing age, so I managed dodge that bullet...

Add to that the fact I have been married 18 years, so the odds of having a mistake now are verrrrrry long.

SWMBO suggested I get mine done. So far I have managed to put it off for 20 years. Yes I am a chicken.

Any way won't be long before SWMBO is past child bearing age.

    Not yet.
    It's on the cards though.
I don't get smiles when I point out that there is still 1 seat free in the 7 seater and for trade in value it would be better if all the seats were evenly used.

I was "done" about 7 years ago, right after we found out our second kid was twins. As long as you get a general, and there's places who'll bulk bill it as a day surgery procedure if you shop around. Had 10 days off as work didn't want anything happening while I was there. Never had an issue and even the scars which were all of less than 5mm long have disappeared.

One of the guys I used to work with however had a local, they couldn't get the tube out as it was twisted so opened him up under a local. Started to wear off before they finished. On top of that, and because they opened the bag, he had about a month off and even then second day back at work opened it up again. He passed out on the shop floor in a pool of blood and no one else would grab hold of it to stop it bleeding out. Went real nasty, had two months in hospital, lost one of them and was off for eight months in total.

Not what I wanted to do, jambing my hand down someones pants and grabbing on for a trip to hospital. But if I didn't no other assclown was going to and the docs said that he would have gone. Turned out they picked up an artery and did something wrong and it tore when his sack opened up.

Gee you guys know how to put a bloke of what is supposed to be a minor simple opp.

But then 8 months off work could be nice but at what cost.

Now to find a way to get the rest of the footy team.

Well you have all talked me into it.

I'm off to a Dr in Kaleen tomorrow morning to find out the how and how much time I get off work.
