That is, of course, another side of why we don't have any "rights" - none of the politicians or those in a position to influence them can either agree on this or even if they can agree, want to baldly state what these are. After all, the essence of getting elected in a democracy is to be "all things to all men".

The only" rights" we should be worried about is knowing right from wrong. What ever happened to respect for our elders, and manners, and respect for women, and respect for children, what's the go with cowards bullying kids on the net, or text bullying? does democracy and freedom of speech mean that is ok? rubbish. It is a sad day when our citizens stand up and say our democracy and freedom of speech should allow these cowards to hide behind an electronic barrier . Bob
I’m pretty sure the dinosaurs died out when they stopped gathering food and started having meetings to discuss gathering food

A bookshop is one of the only pieces of evidence we have that people are still thinking

Now let's move on to some law governing facebook and get a law suit happening against some coward/s who bully other kids.
From what we have experienced it's not akin to kids calling kids names , it vicious , maliciuos , predicated and mean and the perpetrators have no idea of the damage they cause.
Maybe when some of them or their parents as guardians start getting some punitive action taken against them things may change.

I am with you Dave on having to be extra careful about what is put up on here regarding repair places etc.
To help each other out regarding a dodgy repair is it okay to put up a post stating that you have just had a bad experience in your state (without giving a name or specific area )in a public post and if people want detail sending a private PM.

that is the approach we tend to tolerate, bearing in mind the wording is everything.

my preferred option would involve a stat dec saying you have taken the matter up with the operator concerned, face to face, and then .......

but that aint going to happen
