Anne, Mike & the bent Camel...

    Hi Guys,

As promised, I've been off & got an update on the Camel 110 re-build, after their little 'prang'!!

N609 has been partially stripped down to check out what needs replacing and what can be reused. The new chassis is waiting to be painted and they are buying new bits as & when funds allow. They have picked up a new winch bumper, rims and Brownchurch will remake the correct pattern bulbar... If they can get a minimum order of 5!!!

The bulkhead has been deemed fit for service, but the front roll cage hoop is rather bent out of shape and its legs to the chassis are corroded, so a call to Safety Devices is needed to find a replacement.* Other than that most parts are either OK or the chap re-building it has sources suitable.

This is what N609 looks like at the moment:

After looking at the other pictures and having been in a roll over recently (in a Disco) Roll Cages seem like a bloody good idea.....

by the looks and reading, they are taking the rebuild as part of the trip / experience, not giving in to it!

    Keep going!

It's a hell of a route to take to make a convertible 110 that's for sure
