hows the suzi liking the LPG and whats the setup cost? Any chance of a few pictures?
I have a Diesel gas injection system on the Isuzu.
By dimension ( 800m long x 200mm in Dia) I calculate the water volume of the LPG tank to be around 25 litres.
I can never fit more than 14litres of LPG in it even if I run it out.
It will keep ticking over to fill after 14 litres but it is extremely slow
I understand that there is a requirement to leave 20% capacity for expansion but that would make it 20 litres.
At 20 litres that would equate ( close enough ) to a tank of LPG to a tank of Diesel at a usage rate of around 0.23 l LPG / L diesel which sounds more like it.
Have I fluffed thevolume calculation?
Anyone know anyone in Melbourne who could fix it if possible
Is there an adjustement t

The tank has an internal cut-off mechanism which is dependant upon the rotational angle... Usually. The same innards can be used with differant capacities, as these pics show.
Taken of my gas-Mazda.
Did you allow for the thickness of the metal when measuring, ? and a hundred cc or so for all the internal plumbing etc...
Regardless of anything else, the water capacity is usually stamped on the tank. What brand of tank is it, and what orientation direction are the valves?
APA made a 820 by 203 tank which should take 19 litres, however most I received had the fill float bent down and would only take 17 odd unless fixed.
Manchester make a 830(?) by 208 tank with side entry valves at 30 degrees above the horizontal which takes 20 litres. Their end-fill tank is 760 by 208 and takes about 17.
All new tanks are subject to boofheads on the production line, and incorrect fitting by installers.
Thanks Guys
Dobbo- It loves it. Goes much better than my mates NA Isuzu and is more drivable around town but then again mine has had a rebuild 20000kms ago and his has done 350,000kms all original bits. It does still struggle on some hills though so a turbo may be in the offingRegards cost , I don't know , it was already in when I bought the Suzu. I will post up some pics in the Isuzu section of you want.
Superquag- That may explain it then. To me , the cover and valve seem to be at 90 degrees to the horizontal. It is tucked up tight under the drivers position so that may have been the only way they could get it to fit. I didn't deduct metal thickness and int plumbing no.
Bee-utey- I can't see a brand on it anywhere from the underside. The valve orientation appears to be at 90 degrees to the horizontal to me. At least the protective cover plate section is. It could be a Manchester.
It wasn't installed by a gas place either. It was put in and signed off by a local ( to me anyway but not the Original owner ) 4WD service place. I have the Vicroads certificate and everything for it.
As I said above , I would have hoped that at roughly 0.23 l LPG/ l diesel , you would hope that the LPG tank was sized at 20 litres usable to suit roughly a full diesel tank at around 80 litres diesel.
