Howdy to all my fellow Landy nuts,
Thought a few of you might get a kick out of some new video footage of me almost drowning my Rangie Sport last weekend.
Also uploaded some nice rock scrambles that included jumping the Sport up over the top shelf of one track and dropping it off a few ledges.
You'll also find some footage of The Drover punting his V8 Disco through the same rough territory so something for everyone in this lot.
Check out the latest three vids. More to come soon
Cheers
JS

good quality on those vids, credit to the camera operators.your mates like their matocks (sp??).
we did the chichester hill couple of weeks ago ourselves, interesting climb.![]()
Looks like your Traction Control is not doing what it should on that rock step - front drivers wheel high in the air and spinning with very little braking being applied (yet clearly working on the D2 near the same spot) - similar to my first bogging - traction control did not seem to work as it should.
Don't suppose you remember your settings ie TR in mud ruts or rock crawl for the ledge. low range obviously and DSC off?
Great videos - highlights how different cars have different strengths and weaknesses in different situations.

Great footage and some nice tracks you guys have there. Also nice to see a Rangie Sport being used like that.![]()
I actually tried a couple of different settings in different sections to see if I could get some extra traction. Started out in Rock Crawl and then switched to sand on the last run up to help with a little extra launch as there was only about 30cms from dead stop to the face and it needed a little bump up.
Would be interested in finding out if you can have the TRC tested??? as I thought much the same at the time.
vids! thanks for sharing!

Did you switch DSC off each time you changed the TR setting (when switched off it would be nice if it stayed off) - when I had my wheel spinning and not braking I still had DSC on and it restricted revs to 2700 which was not quite fast enough to spin the wheel to then have TC brake it and transfer drive.
I love your stuff - very inspirational (I notice you have not got door/sill protection - how are the doors holding up.
