    Not Landy but Toyota

Does anyone in Melbourne know where I can get a quote for a Toyota Camry 1997 reco motor and fitted?
Lady across the road from us cooked her motor and will give us the car, if we can get it fixed.
Now this is for SWMBO to use to go to work in...unless someone has a Def 90 they would like to give away

Try someone like EKW or one of the specialist toyota wreckers, they will have low K changeovers from wrecks usually with a warranty.

    G'day Ericpicc

When chasing for the motor, take note and quote the Camry MODEL number as well as the year and also the Engine model number (Like on the old Corona's I.E. 18R series) and also when buying all and any parts in future not only the year model as they often do changes at 1/2 yearly intervals.

    Thanks everyone.
Quoted $2745 with 6mths from one place.
    It's a Toyota Camry Vienta 1997 (XV10) with a 3vz-fe motor.
For the age it's not in that bad of condition, it's a shame she let the coolant dry out and cooked the motor.
Not into Toyota's but would just do for the Mrs to go to work in, and throw the kids in the back if need be.....plus that would give me the Defender all to myself again

Some Toyotas are lemons, according to this:

The Toyota Landcruiser 200 "Oh What a Lemon..."

    I'm truly shocked.

toyota is a strange beast--it goes and all is well.

    then it stops.

its hard to gamble on the day it stops-as it has no reaon-and everone is after the part you want cheep.

a landrover falls apart from day one.and all is happy.
