Really? They would have to be the strangest people I have successfully not bought parts from. Excellent website, really kooky approach to customer service. I was after confirmation of which part would suit a particular series gearbox, nil result by phone, tried by email and received nothing but promises that they would address the inquiry. Eventually gave up and they claimed they'd been emailing pricing and info all along, apparently forgetting that at the same time they'd been saying "going to, going to".

Just had a good experience with Rimmer Bros if you can't find what you need locally.

That's odd. I've bought a ton of stuff from LR Series over the last four years or so. (Though . . . once-in-a-while I haven't gotten a response to an email question, but that has been very rare.) As well, when they've made a mistake, they've fixed it, which has usually cost them, and they don't make excuses. The best thing about them is their very thorough parts listing so that as long as you have a manual, (and can go to the trouble to find supercessions from Google searches if need be), you just make your list of parts and then wait for the freight amount.

I've also used Roverparts.com.au, Rimmer Bros, LR Direct, and Dingocroft. All tend to have their various good points.

For some reason, Craddocks has always been very strange, not replying to emails and with their site just not letting me make orders! And they didn't seem too interested when I told them . . .

As for Linn Rover, anyone can PM me if they want details of how things didn't go too well.
At any given point in time, somewhere in the world someone is working on a Land-Rover.

Brake proportioning valve for Disco 1

Price varied from under $400 to over $800.....all original Land Rover parts.....quoted same part number.

£134.79 from LRSeries.com ($211 + postage) ...genuine part or less than £90 for the Bearmach version..

I paid the lower of the Aus price, only because I needed it fairly quickly....
