Timing cover & Gaskets D2/V8
Has anyone had experience with coolant leaking from a timing cover and repair?

The repair mechanic described the intial coolant loss as caused by corrosion, whereas it was the gasket that was breached, reasons unkown however the coolant has been well maintained and it did its job well.
The mechanic now claims there could be a crack in the block port, which I find very difficult to beleive, the pics don't support that determination.
The pics show the port from the block and also the corresponding port from the reverse of the timing cover.
However I would be pleased to hear of any experience elsewhere with this matter and outcomes?
Cheers,
GJP
