I fitted new injectors in my Tdi at 400,000k's and wish I had the $600 back.New injectors did SFA to it and unless there is an issue I wouldn't touch them. Pat
Well it seems as if it has come time for me to renew my injectors it seems, 300 odd thousand K's and they seem to be stuffing around.
I'd rather try give renewing them a crack myself, over giving them to a specialist and letting them work their magic. I've tried to educate myself online and came across this article which breaks down the rebuild quite nicely:
howto: 200tdi injector refurb - Land Rover Zone
Skipping the critical step of reassembly in his write up - he does make it seem like it's not all that difficult - and even so, I'm always up for a challenge and the associated learning curves.
Now my question is how should I go about buying 200tdi injector nozzles? There is a mob in england selling a set of four for around $140 (including shipping) on ebay:
DEFENDER 90 2.5 200 TDI NEW INJECTOR NOZZLES SET OF 4 | eBay
Though in my browsing I also came across a Chinese alternative:
Buy 0 433 175 017, DSLA145P208, 0433175017, Fuel Injector Nozzle 0 433 175 017 / 0433175017 DSLA145P208 MOQ: 6 PCS at Aliexpress.com
It's really hard to say what's what here. No where on the eBay listing does it specify that they are Bosch injectors so it could be that the $7 injectors from China have been repriced at $32 a unit. Where can I come across decent injector nozzles that are fairly priced?

x2. I have fitted new injector nozzles to 2 of my diesel engines (4BD1T and 2.25D) and didn't notice a difference either time.
If it were me I would pull them and get a diesel shop to test and reset the popoff pressures without replacing the nozzles. Shouldn't cost more than $100 for that if you r/r/ the injectors.
JC had Ian Petersen's 300Tdi injectors tested at close to 300,000km and they were pretty much OK still so they went back in, and Ian had a new set on hand.
I'd be testing the flow of the injectors before replacing them.
Hmm, I'm not sure what's going on - i've got a fairly shaky idle on my 200tdi until the motor heats up. I'd love to know whats going on - think i'll take it down to a diesel shop this week.

Do a valve set and new filters and give it a tune, diesel in the tank and a cooling system clean and see ya later. Pat
If you go to a diesel shop, try and side step the fact its been run on vegetable oil. If they end up replacing any parts on the injection system also be advised that Bosch do not warrant injectors/parts if you use vegetable oil.
Hey Alex - I actually work for Alibaba.com so I think I may be able to help here.
If you know the specific details of the type of injector nozzles you're after, my advice would be to contact the supplier directly through the link you've provided above. Most suppliers are open to communicating this way and you can get a lot of value from asking them questions direct.
Plus it will also give you more confidence to buy the cheaper alternative if you know it's exactly what you're after
Best of luck and if you have any questions just let me know by replying here.
