Never had a problem at our place, always had a dog or twoa doberman & aSpringer spaniel will never give up.

One of my brothers had a lot of problems with cats,he sorted them with a high powered water pistol filled with bleach, moves them on real quick.

Another thing that helps is a battery operated electric fence thingy, takes 4 D cells, available from farm supply places. You just run a bit of fencing wire about 200mm off the ground using cut off pieces of electrical conduit as posts. Then push a short piece of copper pipe into the ground as an earth. One touch of a cat's nose on the wire & it will never be back

If you can identify the owner. Most cats in my area dont carry id.

I like the "super soaker" with a mixture of watered down vingear with a "dash" of tobasco sauce or chilli powder. A direct hit up the pukker and you dont see them for a while.

    Love that video.

So you never used ratsak ??

What about the controlled offically sanctioned release of 1080 & other poisons.

Nothing to do with testicular fortitude

As far as Im concerned any cat / fox that comes onto my property is fair game. be it feral or domestic. Council have declared cats are vermin & need to be confined within the owners yard & not let outdoors at night.
Cats are predators & higly destructive to native wildlife. Belive me I dont like to see any animal suffer either but I'd rather a cat crawl away & die than come out to another dead chicken in the morning.

We have two roaming down to our place from two doors up, no id etc. Know they are killing birds etc as they are always bloody around the mouth. Getting into the kids cubby etc.

Suggestions as while I'm up for slingshots, supersoakers etc not into sitting up late at night when it's around. I know dencorub is a cack with the dogs. We had a rottie and in the end show him the box and he'd run a mile.

All cat problems are caused by their incredibly stupid owners. My wife has had cats for over 30 frickin years so I know a few things about them. You HAVE to desex them, the earlier the better. Otherwise they **** all over everything, the girls do too. It reduces the noise they make and also reduces any tendency to fight. Your yard needs to be cat proof. Six foot colour bond fences with nothing near the edge will pull them up. They have to be locked up at night.
A free roaming undesexed cat is usually a smelly, noisy pain in the arse with only one thing on its mind and is the reason people seem to hate them. Most desexed cats are actually quite a nice pet. I've seen the most ardent cat haters won over by a good natured desexed cat.
I'm not a cat lover. I've met cats I like and I've met cats I don't like. They are just like people in that regard. Owning a pet cat is MUCH more difficult to do responsibly than owning a dog.

The type of owners who let these animals roam free are not capable of seeing what they are doing wrong. The only true solution is to get rid of their cat. I would not like using a slow solution, but the best and fastest solution is noisy and brings out the do gooders.

Then Lock up your chickens better!!!..

I dont know a great deal of people that like 1080 and are trying to get banned...its effective but non selective...

I often read the I hate cat threads and I generally dont get offended by things in it as I take most of it tongue and cheek.

but telling people to slow poison them or hit them with bleach is just bloody outrageous!! feral or not. No animal feral or not deserves to be treated in a way that they walk off and take days to die and suffer just because they come and **** on your flowers.

you would probably be outraged if someone poisoned your dog in the same manner just because it ****ed the neighbours off while barking all night.
