    Tyre prices

    Hi all,

No im not in for a debate about importing tyers from overseas.

I just want to know how much a set of 285/75/16 BF km2 muddys are in the capital cities.

My local tyre store has quoted me $440 a tyre. I think this might be a bit pricey even for port hedland so was just wondering how much you city boys pay

I was quoted $400 each for 255/85-16 KM2's in Melbourne last week, and looking at the tirerack.com site, the 285/75's are about $50 dearer.

Your $440 price doesn't seem to bad to me...

Bob Jane (Hornsby NSW) quoted me $335 for 235/85/16 BFG KM2's about a week ago.

Yeah try Newman I staked a Hankook Dynapro MT and have just been quoted $380 ea as I only replace them in pairs minimum. Last set I bought was $270ea in Esperance. Typical being shafted up here but I need them. And people wonder why you dont buy local. The $270 was in Esperance so they cant bleat freight. So $440 for KM2s probablly is not bad for up here.

My copper STmaxx cost $340 each, so I think you should be able to get a better price.

    Thanks guys.

I got on to a guy at broome who runs the BP up there he will do them for me for $390 a tyre so that's pritty good for up here. I'm going to broome for christmas anyway so there is not a issue with traveling costs to get these tyres.

It's funny, I looked into prices for a major retailer both here in hedland and in karratha and karratha where cheeper by $30 a tyre. just goes to show you how much retailers screw you. did not go back and bargin as the broome ones where a heap cheeper anyway.
