A little bit more throttle is all it needs and it will roll forward.
And yes they have a centre of sorts.
I saw this video on YouTube with a cross axled 2010 RR:
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-xHZD_5RAQ&feature=related]Why you need at least one differential lock - YouTube[/ame]
which made me wonder if these newer vehicles have a central diff-lock like the Defender and older Discos (or the electronic equivalent), or if all the axle 'locking' is done by electrics via the brakes.
I guess a Defender in the same situation would be no better off really, I was just thinking that the traction control in these newer vehicles would have stopped the spinning wheels and powered the vehicle forward....
Did they have it on the wrong setting (rock setting)?
Looks like the e-diff lock would be a good option to specify.

Traction control would get that out.
It needs a little throttle to engage beyond idle.
A slight throttle use and it would be out on the TC.
But yes, eDiff is nice.

Had a driver been in the drivers seat and accelerated a little the car would have driven strait out.

What the hell is that grill it's wearing![]()
OK - thanks for all that info. I didn't expect it would have anything as basic as a Defender type central (mechanical) lock- maybe something like the viscous centre diffs in the the RR Classics.
Interesting to find that a few more RPM would have kicked in the Traction Control.
And - I think that is a 'special' American grille. Never seen one out here.
Cheers
David
The side vent is equally crass.... The car does'nt even sound happy.
When my L322's jack **** itself, the bloke who designed it needs one shoved up his arse,my L322 simply refused to cross axle like that and I had in the end drive it at speed over a bank the beach the thing.Like above a dab on the go peddle and it'll drive away. Pat
