RIP, he was a very good driver and sportsman![]()
V8 Taxi racing has lost a true gentleman.
Jason passed away yesterday after a short battle with cancer.
Jason was a talented driver who always had a cheesy grin on his face, even after bad luck on the track.
His fight with cancer prevented him competing in the last 12 months,he was still working as a test driver until last month.
RIP Jason,you will be missed.

Indeed, he will be missed. I first met Jason when he and Craig Baird were driving for BMW MotorSport Lifestyle and were based in Auckland.
We spent a lot of time together at that time but hadn't 'caught up' since I moved away from that BMW team.
I remember some good times and special moments.
RIP mate.
That's very sad.
RIP Jason...
I was shocked when I read it this morning at work, the sport is poorer for his passing and will mourn the loss of such a talent and character. RIP Jason.
RIP Jason a true gentleman and a great racer.
I was fotuanate enough to meet Jason a couple of times and he was a really nice and genuine guy.
You will be missed.
