    Tinnitus

    Yay
    I think I have tinnitus.
Could hardly hear from my left ear yesterday due to the static / feedback noise in my left ear. Also finding that certain pitch sounds are causing a high pitch whistle. Naturally my family keep making the perfect pitch to cause it.

worst time with it is when trying to sleep, mine comes and goes when it happens at night I make sure the fan is on or a radio softly in the background just to help distract my mind from it.

Should get it checked mate, I'm about to go see the doc about the same thing get the ringing in the ears, and my little boy seems to hit the pitch regularly that makes my inner ear vibrate like crazy.

I'm guessing years of Playing with race cars and sitting next to dynos has taken it's toll.

Yesterday was like sonstant wind or running water. Could not hear from my left ear. Today it is a lot milder but the kids noises and the better halfs telling the kids to settle is like a whistle / rattle and makes it hard to hear what is said.

Will be getting an appointmet with the doc to see what is going in.

I blame AC/DC for mine. Rod Laver arena as it was back in 1988. The sonic cannon that they let off literally shook the whole stadium, it is still the loudest thing I can remember ever hearing at a concert.

Thats a very common practice of people with tinnitus.

It comes years after significant exposure to loud noise, often industrial noise, is also affecting older "rock-N-roll" musicans and us long-term Land Rover drivers.

Unfortunately in many cases treatments are inneffective, although some people get relief from accupuncture.

It is a case where prevention is better than cure!

George130 you should still take roverfans advice and get it checked by your local doc.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Tends to be worse if I'm tired or stressed. Or tired and stressed.
