    Today marks the 48th anniversary of the tragic loss of HMAS Voyager.

    Well, at aprox 9pm EST tonight that is.

    She apparently now rests at 600 Fathoms (3,600')

    I remember watching Melbourne going into drydock at Cockatoo island to have the damage repaired and a new bow fitted from my front verandah at Balmain, you're right Ron, doesn't seem like that long ago.

    There is a really good book on the subject, I can't remember the name, voices something. It deals with the whole thing right up to the veterans battle with the government and their problems with post traumatic stress disorder. They were treated terribly and many were suffering for years after.

    They were. It seems it's not unusual for ex-servicemen to be treated shabbily by our government (both Liberal and Labor).
