    Top Gear in India!

No, No, No,....... why isn't there any landies?!!!! Boycott Top Gear!! As one who has travelled form Mumbai (Bombay) to Shimla or Nakandah, and further there is only one way to travel (safely outside of a train) and that is by a Land Rover....... (Well maybe a Tata Sumo!)

gawd, it was a loooong 90 minutes for just a couple of great scenic views.
    and one funny cricket match.
It was all a bit predictable really

Travel by road in India, whether by Land Rover or Tata Sumo (a heap of crap) is outright dangerous due Indian drivers. They overtake on blind corners, certainly do not go down a gear to get past quicker, and many other things.
I was there a few weeks ago in Mumbai, Bhavnagar, Dui, Ahmedabad, and Delhi and I flew rather than be driven (it was the aircraft I was looking after).
This time when I go again next week it will only be to Goa and Delhi.
Train in India is safe, but your possessions are not as thieving is rampant.

Because the show is about entertainment and it is more entertaining to watch a vehicle out of its depth struggling with conditions than it is to watch a vehicle quietly and competently going about the business for which it is designed.

So they needed to avoid using vehicles that were suited to the task.

Usually I love Top Gear, but this got turned off here after about 45 minutes.

All a bit forced, and heading towards embarrasing....

Indian drivers sound like some drivers in Australia.

I watched it a few days ago (Uncle Torrence emailed me a copy ). I enjoyed it, as I do all Top Gear episodes. I try to keep in mind that even a "poor" episode of Top Gear far outshines most other drivel that is shown on TV.

They are doing it again you get a run of good shows then they stuff it up by doing this show but we all still watch so hopefully they do some more shows with landrovers or rovers .

Yes they're no different. But once they were wasps, now take a look next time a Maruti (oops - suzuki or any small car or maybe an early model Tarago) passes you on the Hume.
