In about an hour I will be leaving to drive to Brisbane. I will probably go via the New England, and will probably stop overnight somewhere around Warwick or thereabouts. I am getting a bit old to do these long trips non-stop, and reports suggest that the roads are in poor condition in places (which is why I am not using the Newell).

I travelled on the New England Highway early this month to Sydney from Brisbane and it is a disgrace, and very dangerous with pot holes. I travelled a lot of the Newell Highway this week returning, and while it has bad sections it is far better with less open potholes.
Travel to the conditions and have a safe trip.
