Are you coming back north via the coast or are you going to see some of inland NSW?

I can answer this on Ranga's behalf. He spent last night at Grong Grong which is inland on the Newell.

    Dave.
The first time I heard of Grong Grong was when I was it uni. A friend of mine claimed that during the Christmas break, he had played cricket with Grong Grong/Matong United.

Naturally we thought he must be making it up as there couldn't possibly be anywhere called that, so we asked him who the other team was. When he said that they had played against Stockinbingal/Walendbeen we knew he had to be lying.

Later, when I lived in Yass, I drove through all of those towns or localities.

The second time I heard of Grong Grong was when a rock climbing friend at uni said that the police caught him on the wrong side of a safety fence at the Gap. He said he was making real progress explaining to them that he was a keen rock climber and was just studying the rock formations. Then they asked him where he came from. He claims that when he said he came from Grong Grong, that they looked at him rather strangely and that it was all downhill from there.

Ranga, if you are still heading in that general direction and looking for somewhere interesting to fill in some time, you might consider Mt Kaputar near Narrabri.

Good luck with that. I think I heard on the news that about 75% of NSW is flood affected. However, the majority of road closures I have heard on the radio have been minor local roads.

Luckily passed Forbes today before they closed the highway. Fingers crossed...

Mind the potholes between Moree and Goondiwindi Ranga. Suggest you turn you lights on, when entering and sound the horn before exiting.

I've a funny feeling I know where his next service is going to be done and who is going to be doing it...

I've been asked to do something to ranga on behalf of someone else and the rangas promised to drop over for some yarn spinning and insult receiving.

Ranga, how far did you get today and how are the roads? Also what did you think of the vanilla slice?

    Dave.
