    Hi Dave, I actually grew up just outside of Eltham... Its not a research truck, its the truck from Research. As I recall the driver got into some serious trouble. However it would be quite an effective way to deal with the DPF. The instructor actually said to us that one option would be to douse the underside of the truck in water if it automatically started a cycle while on a job.

    It appears to be fitted with the self draining Defender door seals.

    EDIT: On closer inspection, I can see that it is not fitted with automatic draining Defender door seals. The passenger had to open the door to deal with the problem.

    The guy driving was a experienced 4x4er.
    The CFA did not see the funny side of it. After it was shown on the national news broadcasts and the CFA had no prior knowledge.

    I think it was a good effort. They crew was going to get wet anyway.
